it was a correspondent's dinner, basically a public relations party to improve bush's relations with all the people he's alienated over the last 6 years: hollywood, the press core and some of his most vocal media critics were invited. the humor was pretty tame until colbert came up and totally ripped bush a new . i don't think anyone saw it coming... they probably figured 'this guy's the conservative counterpart of jon stewart, there's a safe bet, invite him!' :haha: |
