hi everyone, hope you are all well....this is my latest offering...
probably my best effort yet...quite a nice vibe to it...tell me what you think about it.. good/bad all comments much apreciated and returned...

| old school trance sounding. Good stuff, but I'm really not a fan of the 303. It fits the track to an extent, but I think you could use a different sound. Pretty good track overall definitely your best track I think. |

jesus your mix is loud!
the synths are original are nice. i like the melodies. quite dark and haunting. id say the bpm is a bit high for the vibe this sound creates. i rather it was a 132-135 bpm speed. your fast pased bass and gated synth work at this speed tho.
i think id use a longnote bassline and be rid of the gated synth. and slow it down to 132 bpm.
overall i think the sound is pretty good. maybe a bit hectic for me - you have quite a few synths/melodies playing at the same octaves so they fight eachother.
overall you have not too much to worry about. just the hecticness.
break - nice. clean. the parts in the start of the break are what i like. maybe do a dub. with a long note bassline and just the percs and bits in the break up to just before the drum roll comes in?
main section - as i said before.. a bit hectic for me

intro - I like the synth sound here, not so sure about the second synth that comes in behind it though
the 3rd synth that comes in a little later is pretty cool
nice string work in the break
overall i like the track, maybe just have a little more changing up on the percussion , thats about all i can say :) |

| Very old-skool sounding, Euro Trance. Nice mixdown, nice sounds used - they all fit in well. Sounds a little thin with some of the sounds. Good overall. Bit repetative. Perhaps you should have a small breakdown before the main one? The prcussion fit sin wonderfully in the breakdown. Dont like the drum roll - doesnt fit in well. You should perhaps have a main riff int heir. |

funny, I was going to say it wasn't repetitive enough. It does sound old though, can't be sure whether that is a good or bad thing. I think it is a little too echoey for my taste. It is nice and simple though, that is definately a good thing.
I think you should take a couple of those sonds out, things get dronish, then another synth comes in perhaps to keep things interesing, It is my beleif that the introduction of each sound knda disrupts the hypnosis a bit, my POV stands that you should take a limited set of noises and force the listener to fixate on those for a long enough time until they warm up to it. I guess hectic is a good word for it. |

Lets check it out ;) Sounds indeed real old school trance this. The 303 good be worked out much better it kinda stands out from the rest but then in a bad way :) The pizz sounds are nice and making it sounds even more old school (nothing's wrong wiht that though;)) The whole track gives me abit 'God is a DJ' feeling. Overall nicely produced, good sounds and well EQ'd but please change that 303! :p
(and I still dont understand how I cange the Background of Myspace :))

Sounds nice in the beginning, again that 303 doesnt work very good sounds kinda bad. You really like old school trance now do you?:D There is a bit too much reverb on some parts I dont know in wich quality this is but it also sounds a bit muddy. This one has a push feeling further in the tune. Classical sounds in your productions, I like it but it's not very refreshing :D Keep up the good work though. |

That's a big verb. Big delays too. Nice and spacy.
Pretty good melody too. I like the synth work. This is stupid myspace, stream so it sounds a bit muffled.
OH NO 303! Lol, sounds fun. Don't over use that 303 sounds though. Sounds too cheesy now-adays.
Weird. Your bassline doesn't seem to match the key. I mean I guess it does, but it kinda shocked me when you dropped the bassline, I expected it to be a half step or whole step or two lower.
A little repatative. but ok.
Pretty good breakdown. Here comes build. Same melodic motif. Not too bad. Maybe varying up that melody you started your song with?
I'm not liking whatever came in at 5:18.
I really think you have some solid stuff going on. I'm not particularly fond of your melodies, or what you're doing with key. I mean it sounds pretty good, just a bit... awkward, that's the word im looking for! Awkward.
But it's not bad, keep up the good work.

In fact, I liked "rapture" a lot more than this. I miss some alternation concerning the melody in this one. Nevertheless, this track is fine. |

Agree with rich that the mix is very loud...
The bassline seems a little offkey to me too.
That gated pad seems nice too, but I think it doesnt harmonize really well with the other stuff.
Nice lead @2:30... things get maybe a little full here.
Cool breakdown then. Synth design is oldschool, but well, those synths have something important: character!
Cool saw lead @6:10. Nice stuff here, I dig it.
Good tune... It sounds oldschool, and I really like that :) ... your tune is getting simply too full in some parts, but otherwise I enjoyed listening. Keep it up! |
