regarding the zit, yeah pop that sucker. 1) because you know you want to anyway. 2) it will be cool
Once you've poped its ugly white blistering head then dry it out with some standard bar hand soap. Once it's dry apply a dab of neosporin so it will heal faster and won't puss back up tomorrow due to minor infection or being open to dirt.

As for bartering... I never buy the first time I see them. I find out what their bottom line is by preparing myself to NOT buy at all my first time in the store/ booth. I then can gauge how bad they want the sale and how low they are prepared to go. If it meets my satisfaction I can walk back at any time to get it. If it's close I tell them the next time what my $ line is and see if they can match it or if we can then come to an agreement.
Never stand across a booth, counter or table from them. Always try to get beside them so it's more 'chummy' like you are trying to help each other out with the sale.
I also do my homework before hand on bigger purchases to find out what they paid for it, what is a realistic retail price and what they can get away with selling it for. I don't want to pay a good retail price when I barter, I want a good wholesale liquidation price!
I also try to dress just rich enough to afford what I want to buy but not so nice that they think I can spurge a bit extra. (Ie leave the nice watch at home for a computer, it shows disposable income you don't want to bring attention to)

On the contrary, you dress up and they take you more seriously and would know you're leaving the store with the merchandise. Also, (if you're an old fat dude like me :p) you look like you've probably pinched pennies to get where you are so they also could expect you to bargain their pants off.

Actually, no, I think it's mainly cuz I'm brown. :p

I think I'll stick with my way. You want to look enough that you can afford what you're bargining on but looking too good with show that you splurge on things (like your clothing). This varies if you are out buying a rolls royce obviously but tyring to dress at the top and maintain a look that you pinched pennies to get to where you are, are different looks completely.
You want to be taken serious enough, but never want to portray you are made of money unless in fact you are, and are prepared to pay full price like everyone else who is made of money.
if you have to err though, I agree dress a bit better than the situation rather than a bit worse.

I'd say that's a pretty sweet deal. Depending on the monitor size and ram, it's a good price.

Your ed though, that warranty would have really come in handy, trust me. Treat your laptop like royalty. My laptop here is saved by the future shop warranty, what would be like a 2k repair is now free (2-4 week wait but it, worth it)...

Serously man, be really ing careful, you can get ed over real bad if that breaks.

That's what Iwas wondering. Post make and model number. How much RAM and what kind of vid card did you get?

Centrino, meh, pretty standard: no deal
DVD-CDRW burner, completely standard, within two months, they won't even manufacture readers anymore: no deal

ALso, as said above, depends on size of screen and everything else. was it 800 after taxes, or before?

when your going to make a deal with a sales person. know about everything your buying and where you can get it cheaper.
my brother is a sales manager and he bought a brand new car listed at $32,000 for $27,000 out the door.
basically you want the make the guy want your business. if you act like your hot , then he'll blow you off. sound interested but know when the sales man is lying and such.
