Shah of Iran's Heir Plans Overthrow of Regime

" Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah of Iran, told the editors of HUMAN EVENTS last week that in the next two to three months he hopes to finalize the organization of a movement aimed at overthrowing the Islamic regime in Tehran and replacing it with a democratic government.
He believes the cause is urgent because of the prospect that Iran may soon develop a nuclear weapon or the U.S. may use military force to preempt that. He hopes to offer a way out of this dilemma: a revolution sparked by massive civil disobedience in which the masses in the streets are backed by elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard." Fantastic news!
If this actually happens, I believe Iran will return to it's supreme self. This clerical rule of Iran has to be removed, it has been in power for too long and too much anguish has been caused. They should all be tried for murder and hanged for their crimes as they did to so much Iranian citizens.

what a brilliant idea! let's use an anti-democratic process to remove one government and install another that will supposedly espouse principles that go against the very same acts that created it.

I don't know whose side your actually on? The Iranian people or the clerics. It's pretty ironic that you say that about the killings SAVAK did, when the clerics do double fold the murders he ever did.
And i wonder who the murders were more done to, Mullahs who opposed the Shah and good riddance i say.
You know when SAVAK was built to protect the Shah did you know a attempt of assassination was tried but failed and when the SAVAK captured them, Shah forgave them.
If America had never helped Britain to overthrow Mossadegh, this whole thing would have never happened, Iran would have been close to looking like Japan and it wouldn't have been on headlines everyday for threats.. Thousands of good Iranians would still be alive. |

If he really is telling the truth about conspiring with "elements of the revolutionary garde", then I don't get why he would go out in public and brag about that. Wouldn't this be an invitation for Ahmadinejad to "clean up the ranks"? If his motivation is to stop the US from attacking, why not simply tell the CIA about his plans rather than the media? Makes no sense to me.
Oh, and what is it about dogs that make them un-Islamic (it says somewhere in the interview that you can't walk your dog in Iran nowadays)? |

I hope to the god that this can happen. I have a few Iranian buds that would, at a drop of a hat, head back to Iran and take part in this.

How do yo know that this is what the people of Iran want?where is the proof that shows the people are asking this guy to come and take over?
The only people that want him in power are the Iranians that live in LA and they are filthy rich and they want a piece of the cake once they go back.For all I know they are nothing but bunch of fat lazy cowards who just sit and cry all day and they want Iran to go back to its monarchy days.:rolleyes: |
