how do you cook veggies and stuff? put them in tin foil and just sit? or what do you do?

Using the BBQ at 1:15 am ?

pretty much foil and let it sit for a bit, usually check on them.
washout
urinate all over the food.
then put it on the grill.
then poor beer on it for 2 reasons.
1. so u can clean off the urine.
2. so u can say its beer battered.
next drop it in the dirt real quick.
apply the 5 second rule.
(some locales use the 10 second rule)
and simply continue to cook the dirty .
lastly, serve up with fresh .

don't bother foil-cooking veggies on the grill. the oil leaks and seeps out, and the flame never touches them, negating the effects of grilling. cook the veggies in a sautee pan with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil.

i don't want to start a new thread for this... but does anyone have any recommendations on a charcoal grill? i've never owned my own grill before, but i love grilling, and since i have a patio now i figure it's time to get one.

i'll probably just pick up something fairly cheap from Target or Walmart, but i wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts/opinions on specific brands or models.

yepp, definitely get a weber. dont go cheap though, you always get what you pay for and having some friends over for a bbq on a sunday afternoon is always a great time. a good grill is one of those things you will never regret buying because you will learn to appreciate it so much once you use it often..

thanks for the tips, guys... i figured Weber is the way to go. :)

If youre gonna grill veggies, you dont need a foil. Just slice the veggies and throw them on the grill, let them sit for a minute, flip over, another minute and they are ready. You want it to very slightly brown. Another choice is to put them on the upper rack and steam them. Something like zucchini you want to but just a tiny bit of salt on.

Sausages on the grill RULE! And if you do burgers, I suggest putting some spices and herbs in the chopped meat before making them into patties. Nothing like a teriyaki London broil either...
