Friday, May 5 at Sullivan Room, EJC proudly present an intimate evening with Jeff Bennett & Kriece. We're celebrating the release of Jeff's new full length artist album "Endwise" on Plastic City.
Jeff Bennett hails from Malmoe, Sweden, and was a production pioneer of the deep tech house sound that popularized labels like Poker Flat and Plastic City, and with dozens of singles on labels like these and his owbn Kung Fu Dub Recordings, he influenced a lot of the minimal sounds that have become the rage in dance music. His DJ style fuses elements of this sound with uptempo, dancefloor material.
Kriece comes from Perth in Western Australia, and has been playing his blend of upbeat tech house laced with funk on the Aussie DJ circuit for years, playing at all of the dance festivals and opening for artists like Sasha & Digweed and Carl Cox on their Australian tours. He's released records on labels like EQ Grey Ltd & Eukahouse, collaborating with Jeff and others, and has a new project with Nic Fanciulli & James Zabiela slated for a 2006 release. His own label Kindred Recordings is gathering momentum as well.
Additional DJ support will come from another Aussie & NYC fixture Zev Greenfield (Wolfsun.com) and CT (801 Sound) & Todd Fatjo (Jack Productions).
