Who is happy with the first part of 2002. I think the trance that is coming out this year is uplifting like it was a few years back. Thank God, I thought I was going to be a minority for a while longer.

Aren't you a jovial chap Mr. Leifi?

Anyway, to reply on the thread, I'd have to say that trance never really went away...it just dropped off a little in 2000-The 'hangover' year after the year of trance. 2001 was absolutely stunning, boasting more fine tunes than I care to remember. And on the strength of the tunes so far this year, 2002 looks set to be another corker!

I'm looking forward to the release of 2 tunes in particular...

1. Goldenscan- Ascension

and...

2. Sonorous- Second Sun (Mirco De Govia remix)

lateRZ,

What I know it that I live in Dallas and in some parts of 2001 I would go to record stores and there would be tons of progressive and a little trance. It is nice to see the roles changing a little bit.

Trance is back.......you must be on crack (rhymes eh?). It NEVER LEFT, media made a big deal of prog in 01 but trance was still the sound of the clubs n stuff. Trance has never left........media has bashed it for a while but watch all the declared prog deejays start playing trance again. Trance has never left and the media can say what they want coz ima listen to the trance and i'll pay no attention to the media. Listen to what you like and forget what others think.

Look at all the big name producers from the 'big trance year' 99, they're all still here, with some good new talent (Cosmciman, Above & Beyond...etc) producing the TUUUUNEZ as ever :stongue:

don't give him beef, in clubs in Dallas, trance WAS dead, kinda....there was alot of progressive sheezy goin' on.

but mostly, trance never died, but had a "hangover year" in 2000. (that was a good one... ;))
