Midi boxes

anyone know anything about midi boxes - can you use a mic through it? just curious.....

nope, midi is solely used for sending/recieving information, for example you could have the midi out going into a sound module (synth)with the modules audio out connected to the computers audio input.

to connect a microphone to your pc you would need either a jack or xlr input, however you can use a mini jack input with the right adaptor.

my recommendation is to do a bit of research before buying a internal/external soundcard. just to check its suitable for what your after.

ty - i am ridiculous when it comes to technical stuff - I always get get one of my buddies to set it up for me ;) I already have a mixer was just curious about the midi box since I now have one for my keyboards...ty for you help honey!
