hopefully you have a record output on your mixer so get hold of a rca>3.5mm cable or an rca cable with a rca>3.5mm convertor and whack that into your PC. Then find some kind of software to record (theres plenty around).
If your mixer doesnt have a seperare record output then only other method I can think of is recording off your amp via the rca outputs or if it doesnt have that either you can use the headphone jack... |

your laptop probably has a 1/8" (3.5mm for the metric folks) headphone jack for a line in. pick up a Y-cable like the one fusic posted, but w/an 1/8" male plug at the end instead of the rca male plug that's in the pic.
so you plug your current cable into the female jacks on this y cable, then plug the 1/8" into the line-in jack on your laptop. viola. |

let us know how it goes.
also, you may want to think about upgrading your soundcard down the line in future. lemme tell you, it'a night and day difference between the emu1212m i'm using, and the soundcard that is built into the mother board of my PC. the emu kills this card in sound quality, and has NONE of the hiss that the old one adds to my recordings. pure sexiness, best 150-160 i ever spent. |

Nah there should be a microphone or line in port on your laptop also dude, it goes in there. It'll be blue or pink possibly. |
