lookin for an explanation

| sometimes when i look at somebodys studio, i see two or three computer screens, why is that? are they all connected to the same computer ? or is it one for producing and the other for editing? can someone explain. thanks |

| generally, they are all connected to the same computer. it basically creates an efficient layout in that you could have a track view on one screen and a mixer view on the other (or some other desired combinations of windows). it's kinda cool actually, but it's not completely necessary for everyone to have that sort of setup. |

| i see, i never really knew that more than 1 screen can be connected to a computer, and what then? there would be like an option on the software settings which will let you see a track on a screen and a mixer on the other |

| some newer video cards have two outputs, and you can put anything you want on one or the other. think of it as doubling your desktop space ;) |

i get it now. youll still be using only one mouse right?! you can move it from one screen to the other ?
that seems kinda cool actually, can I buy a screen and plug to my laptop :p or does it only work with pc's |

If you don't have dual monitor screens then it's a good idea to learn all your sequencers hotkeys to bring up a mixer, sequencer, blablabla.
