But this is "toronto the cheap" where people cry about paying $10, let alone $50 or $80
Personally i wouldnt even pay $5 for tiesto. But his fans shouldnt be whining about the price. Im willing to bet that its 75 Euros or more in Europe to go hear him. I know for a fact that some ofthe huge festivals there charge 120 euros or more. Imagine if they tried to charge even half of that here?
Sadly we are cheap comibined with the fact that we have been conditioned to expect big names at cheap rates thanks to the bargain basement goldclub prices of the past. And the only reason goldclub did that was so they could advertise to you. |

It seems every year the price of tickets to see Tiesto keep getting higher and higher. I have my ticket from the June 2004 Guv show and it was only $24 with the "convenience charge".
Does the price keep going up because of this "#1 Dj title"?? :conf: I am sure he is asking more but the price isn't going up because he's getting any better..ie with his mixing or track selection.
Personally if I was going to pay $70-$80 it would be to see 4 or 5 acts like Decadence or to go to BEB..NOT to see ONE DJ spinning music that is exactly the same material from their latest release. I still enjoy Tiesto's music but I am not going to claim him as "#1 DJ" and neither am I going to say he sucks balls. I have heard better and I have heard worse..Unfortunately he is getting mediocre and I would not travel to Montreal or Toronto to see him at such an unbelievable price.
For those that are going I hope you get your moneys worth and more!!! |
