smoking...as in nicotine.....right 3 weeks ago i was a heavy smoker of 30 a day and my entire life and habit evolved around nicotine. 3 weeks ago i decided to give up and ive been clean for thar period of time ...now my point is this....
1) my mum (mom) and step dad smokes
2) 99,99% of my close mates smoke#
3) i work ina smokers bar doing average 10 hours 4-7 days a week
4) 3 out of 23 of my workmates DONT smoke
so basically im surrounded by smokers and now ive been 2 weeks with out the aid of NRT ( Nicotine Replacement Therapy ) and finding it really HARD but i will not give in..
My emotions have been up and down all week...spesh under the infulance of beer... but when i feel depressed of aggresive i grit my teeth and go sum wer else and hope my smoking mates understand..but ive caused damage to my own walls just out of pure agesssion ...i hate being like this ...i know this is nicotines last scrape on me....i just want to hear what you think of my progress so far....and i prefer honest answers
Thank you so much to take the time to ready and wish you the best of luck with whatever troubles you have in life
thank you

You're doing well if you're making it that far without any nicotine meds. The aggression is understandable as you're going through withdrawl, but making it two weeks without one is probably a good way towards making it all the way.

Very impressive. My mom quit smoking over a year ago but she still chews 4mg nicotine gum every second she's awake... Instead of ruining her lungs its ruining her teeth. She's already had one loose tooth pulled and has to have another one pulled.

damn man...Thats really good...Ive been trying to quit for over a year now, actually i try to quit everyday. It sucks how addicting they can get. For me the problem is getting out of the routine of smoking. For example, i spark a cig. when i go drive to school, i spark a cig when i come back from school, i spark a cig on my lunch break, i spark a cig when im drinking, and i do that everyday. Its those ing routines i need to break out of and then ill be all set but its so hard:whip:

You can do it mate....try what i did... for example yeah in the morning, rather than spark a cig up put a piece of regular chewing gum in your mouth... break the habit as well as the addiction.. but i can give all my advice i can give but its pure determination and 100% WILLPOWER that will stop you... give your self targets and reward your self for your achiviments ...like using the cash you saved going towards a new vinyl or ticket 2 a gig |

That's awesome...congrats. I'm trying to quit myself, but I can't do it cold turkey. I've cut down from about 15-20 cigs a day to just 5. Pretty soon I'll be down to just 2 or 3, then 1, then none! It's hard for me too because my mom and her bf both smoke as well...so I know how tough it is for you. But keep at it!
