trance circa 2002

| i have this armin / ferry mix from '02 that im really into. its the ministry of sound session featuring these two dj's from '02. the mix includes the tune 'punk' during ferrys mix but other than that i cant id the others.... the sound seems kind of epic to me and all of the tracks are really simple but really awesome. can anyone possibly help me out with this era of trance or recommend any other music? |

| from what amazon gives me to listen from global trancemissions this is similar but not quite the same as what i am listening to. i think the ministry of sound mix that i have might be jam packed w/ anthems. does anyone else prefer the trance of a few years ago to the trance of today? |

I loved the 2002 sound. So sad :P
Progressive and trance made a blissful connection that year.
Nick Warren (Always great, plus '02 style tunes)
Tiesto (His year. ISOS 3 was great)
Sasha (best sets of his career imo)
Way Out West (As good as they always are, just with a '02 flavour)
Gabriel & Dresden (brought their own style, which was nice and fresh at the time. Very Melodic)
James Holden (King of the pixies? Very smooth, and lots of warmth.)
They all have fantastic years. Check out anything they did around that time. |

I think it could be, dreaming of you is definitely on there before punk but im not too sure about any of the other tracks. |
