Been grinding out this uplifting/progressive song. Trying to go super minor. See if everything is ok so far. Many Thanks!
I've been having a plethora of problems with this kick. I'm not looking for a super phat hard style kick, but something more airwavish. I really don't hear what's wrong with it...but people say it needs more "punch". I've uploaded the kick sample as well. What should I do? Cut lows...boost mids..highs...someone SAVE ME!

| hmm hollow kick? I thought it was pretty phat...unless I'm missing the point of a hollow kick. So are my lows too oomphie...kick not distinct? Help me out! Thanks guys. |

Very soundtrack-ish at the beginning. I loved it to bits. The guitar-ish instrument was brilliant.
The bass sounded clean from the get go. The kick, however, didn't appeal to me much. Yes, it's hollow... it just sounds too wide. The kick should sound phat, not fat. |

Man, the kick had this really long tail. Probably why it sounded too like boomy. I made it snappier. See if the improved sample works better.

Yep... more punch... less spread. The kick should widen at the floor, and sound snappier at the top like he said.
YOur kick sounds closer to another genre's kick.... I'm not sure what to put a finger on. |
