Just a fun little thread, don't take it too serious.
Post a SAT/ACT type question comparing EDM with Rock music.
My examples:
Trance is to EDM as EMO is to Rock.
Paul van Dyk is to Trance as Bono is to Rock.
Oliver Lieb is to Trance as Led Zepplin is to Rock.
Cafe del Mar is to Trance as Sweet Home Alabama is to Rock. |

Alexander the Great died from malaria, a disease which is carried by mosquitos. Mosquitos kill more people each year than any other living thing and almost all of these deaths can be attributed to malaria. |

Well yeah, in a way, 'cause from time to time the reviews pisses me off. I don't know you, but I'm feeling Trancecritic has a sort of ability to make people really finicky about music. |

Well the thing is, we are a site dedicated to reviews. We don't want to be a site where a 10/10 is handed out to every half-decent release: our 10/10s only go to the most special records. Being critical is what we do. Another thing to note is that a 5/10 score is a bashing in music terms, when if you look at it mathematically it's just average. Rating everything 10/10 isn't helpful to readers, so we look at things more deeply. |
