Nope, it's my favorite Marley tune... Possibly second only to Buffalo Soldier.
It's got a creepy vibe... I dig it. |

Guys get your ID's straight! The name of the actual track that is being referred to as Funkstar deluxe remix is actually:
Bob Marley vs. Funkstar DeLuxe - Sun Is Shining (ATB Club Mix)
I think it's pretty obvious that this is an ATB remix since his influence is clearly present throughout the whole track. You can listen to the sample right here. |

Guys get your ID's straight! The name of the one particular remix of that track that is being referred to as Funkstar deluxe remix is actually:
Bob Marley vs. Funkstar DeLuxe - Sun Is Shining (ATB Club Mix)
I think it's pretty obvious that this is an ATB remix since his influence is clearly ruining the whole track. You can listen to the sample right here, but you'd be advised to instead get one of the other remixes, funkstar club mix or de luxe mix, whatever's to your liking
but god, not atb

everytime i hear the original it reminds me of the deluxe remix...awesomeness...
the issue is that ive been on a reggae kick recently and this pales in comparison to many of marley's other tracks.
there are so many other marley tracks that are more euphoric and interesting, it isnt even funny. unf im not schooled in the specific titles.
listen to toots and the maytals or jimmy cliff if you want some amazing songs| |

To each their own m8... I'm, quite frankly, tired of hearing every cliche Marley song out there, and think this stands out strong from the throngs of overplayed and and overhyped tunes that the frat rock masses have adopted as their theme songs.
Bob Marley - Sun is Shining = in my book. |

singing along to this choon in a club is the best ever. Last Friday here in NYC, we were all yelling out "i'm a rainbow too" when above and beyond played this. Good times good times.
btw ... what's the message behind such a phrase: "i'm a rainbow too" ... sounds pretty hippy'ish, i dig it, but I must admit I'm not clear as to what Bob is implying. |

no, what i mean is compare that to natty dread...a song most have never heard...
i understand that people have a preconcieved notion of marley, its just that there is much more to him, and his contemporaries and forefathers.
toots hibbert and the maytals - 54-46 was my number...such a badass, history-laden reggae song...mmm
desmond dekker - israelites...greatness! |
