Pride Street Party DJ's? (pg. 2)

Sarah, in terms of the pride party on Saturday night Prism has just gone alone with the Babaylon tour party - which means there is no space for local DJ's - which sucked cause you and Sidney were by far the best DJ's at that party last year. I also suggested the tent format they had last year - but was told that might not happen this year.
We will probably end up at Sonic for Morales and Grace Jones - maybe there will be another "special guest". |

ditto for the year before...Mark Oliver opened well in the main room of the Docks...then Barry Harris completely stunk up the joint. Sarah and Chiclet in the side room was a welcome reprieve from circuit hell.
It's time for a TA or Tribe stage at Pride :D |

this year i think i will skip the KoolHaus event and stick to the street parties and SONIC saturday night. I can't stand the dj's playing at koolhaus...too circuity for me. Last year going out to the tent and hearing all the locals was much better than the main room.

I know about the Prism change - I was referring to the application to play for the bigger pride organization, like I did last year (Sat afternoon).
PS - I am playing at the drake on Sat Jun 24...early gig...let's head to Sonic afterwards :) |

Thurs, June 22 @ 5ive Nightclub - DJ's TBA
Fri, June 23 @ Kool Haus - Rosabel (CHICAGO) (Rosabel are DJ's Ralphi Rosario & DJ Abel)
Sat, June 24 @ The Docks (daytime waterparty) - DJ'S Stefane Lippe (MTL), Gilles Jr.(MTL) & Cesar Murillo (TOR)
MAIN EVENT -> Sat, June 24 @ Kool Haus - DJ's Tony Moran (NYC) & Manny Lehman (L.A)
Sun, June 25 @ The Guvernment - DJ's Peter Rauhofer (NYC) & Shawn Riker (TOR)
PRIDE TORONTO LINE-UP (Church Street Stages)
There is no solidified entertainment schedule that's been released as they are allllllllllllllllways late with it. Very last minute.
OTHER BIG EVENTS
Besides all the house parties and boat cruises that will take place, of course the two main clubs in the 'gaybourhood' (5IVE and FLY) will have events on their Friday, Saturday and Sunday so it's best to just keep an eye on their websites. SONIC will no doubt put in a couple event contributions i'm sure, seeing as David Morales and Sonic's other resident Cajjmere Wray are really popular amongst the gay crowds. I noticed they do have the 24th listed as David spinning with Nevio on the board here with Special Guest TBA. Lastly there is a rumour floating around that there may be a special 'Boys Life' pride weekend party but nothing confirmed yet, it's just word of mouth.
