Anyone on the board got one yet? Is it worth it?
Wheres the best place to buy one and get you get a good deal if you trade in your PS2? |

yea i have one, they are great
go test one out in the shops.
Project Gotham 3 is a wicked car racing game, so addictive, BUT i feel they didn't really use the machine to it's full potential, wicked sound and game play, the cars look awesome, but the scenry looks a bit bland.
Ghost recon is mad, awesome graphics and game play.
Media centre is very cool, only problem is it doesn't support streaming movies from you PC unless you have Windows Media Centre! But i think a hack will fix that soon...
Go to electronics boutique to trade in your old machine.
And yea you can wait till next year for the PS3, november is the USA/Japan etc... release date, so i would say we would be march. I think the PS3 will be a bit better, but it would want to be if it's a being released a year after. |

consoles are for children that cant play PC games :p
all kidding aside, the 360 is a fvcking powerful machine; one that is out-performing PCs in a whole bunch of games (to be fair, games like ghost recon are infinitely smaller however).

youll find most systems dont push their limits til well into their lifespan.

i doubt it- since theres been such a delay on the system i would be surprised if it wasnt a world-wide release.
oh, and systems arent better or worse- the individual games are ;) |

edit: and in terms of current games pushing the limits, well they're prolly pwning the xbox in terms of cpu/graphics power, but that's because they're not using it efficiently, especially now since game dev houses are pretty much in RUSH mode to finish off games, it's all about how quick turnaround is on churning out the games, espec like PGR3 to have it out with release :/ O_o
slowly the dev houses will make proper use of it and then it'll blow you away, although by that stage it wont be as so impressive at that time. |

| Not sure whether to wait for the PS3 now. Its all about the games. Fifa world cup 2006 looks quality on the 360 though... |

man PGR3 is a ing WICKED game, the graphics might not be the best it can be (the car detail is still pretty damn good), but god damn the game play is awesome, i'm so hooked! Probably the best car racing game i've played in a long time, i love it! :D
and yea, this is only early stages, it takes a while for developers to get it up to scratch.
I'm happy with the purchase, having it as a media centre is awesome too, have friends over, just stream the music to my lounge room. Still ty MS limited the video stream to Media Centre PCs only tho
