Santa Barbara Demo

I am going to see Donald Glaude tonight spin at the Wildcat Lounge in Santa Barbara. I recorded a quick 40+ minute demo with 12 tracks to hand out tonight to promote for my event coming up on the 19th at Zelo where I will be spinning in my Santa Barbara downtown DJ'ing debut. The tracks I selected were on the commercial/pop/cheesy side because the scene is pretty weak up here in SB. It is a electro/house set with pretty quick transitions. 12 tracks in 43 minutes. I was going to go for the full 80 minutes but not only did I run out of time, but at around 44 minutes I trainwrecked REALLY bad. HAHAHAHA. The goal of the mix is to get people familiar with this style of music so it will prepare them for what to expect at my event. Here is the tracklisting for the CD I am handing out tonight:

This is the work-in-progress flyer to the event I am throwing Friday May 19th here in Santa Barbara. This girl and I started a mangement, entertainment, marketing and promotions firm. So far we have 2 clubs in town as clients and we are looking to get involved with some other events as well. We are going to be involved with organizing USC's triathlon. We are doing more than just club events since we are both athletic as well. Its gonna be a lot of work!

goddamn it its hard. when i was in school, i would have time to train because track&field was one of my 'courses' that i received units for. so everyday i had a designated time to train.now that i am no longer in school and in the working world and having to pay all my own bills, i cant find the time to train. i am 20 pounds heavier than what i should be for competing in the long distance events. ive gotta find my motivation again and hopefully i'll get disciplined like i used to be before i started clubbing. thanks for putting me in check nigga. LOL.
