you're forgetting to add in all the preservatives and crap they put in the fries...
did you know there's more real meat in mcdonalds fries then there is in the hamburgers :) |

| One of my favorite foods. My suggestion is to go out and buy this thingy that you peel a potato and push it through and out come french fry-sized pieces of potato. You then put those in the fryer and viola! Maybe you don't have the right kind of potatoes too, I dunno. It's pretty simple and cutting up potatoes and throwing them in the fryer like yer doing should be working. Maybe you don't cook them long enough or too long perhaps. |

its the batter. The batter is the crispy part.
there is actually VERY little potatoe..and shockwav is lying about more meat in the fries..its actually beef tallow (bone marrow is a main ingredient in tallow)

ppl ppl ppl we digress here...
the missing ingredient u asked... well here's the deal that fryer of urs is where u're going wrong... sigh.. the simple intricasies of modern life hehe
well ne ways ... cut up ur potatoes HOWEVER u want em... then all u have to do is take a deep bottomed Frying pan.. yes... a frying pan... stuff lots of cooking oil... (just remember the potatoes must just almost have enough oil or u're gonna burn the whole lot) well ne wayz ... deep fry and viola!!!
nice and crisp...
:D
PS: don't expect too much tough... cos basically if we all started making mcdonalds fries .. then mcdonalds wouldnt be ne where now would they?? |
