| 2.45 am, we drank way too much. Everyone & their mother was at Smartbar but we wound up @ Soundbar with barely any crowd. Mazi & Paulo rocked it, but time to pass out. Get ready for tomorrow! |

| , well I'm obviously overdue for a trip to chicago. So june 16/17 = Digweed, Baltic Bloc and Localized? That might be the weekend. Though dekay and roman flugel both sound fun as well! Maybe we can schedule an omgwtfbbq on the beach or at someone's place on the 17th? Just an idea... |

I'm going to Van Buuren, if anybody cares.
You know why they're moving out of SoundBar? because customer service SUCKS BIG TIME there. Every time I go there, it's always something - rude security at the door, rude security inside, music sucks, etc.
Although I think Spybar sucks even more. Really small. Although a lot of lithuanians hanging out there.... :) |

| I'm not sure what Pure's motive was to move across the street to the super small Spy Bar. I was in there once, and it's tiny! I'm concerned I won't be able to get in, much less be comfortable. |

It had nothing to do with customer service, etc.
If you want to go see a DJ that you like you will put up with being treated like . They know it. You know it. And you will go.
I don't know why they are moving out. On one hand there were some issues with Sound-bar during winter where shows had to be cut an hour short around 3 - 3:30 am just so coat check arrangements could be accomodated it.
Some people are saying that Sound-bar is past it's prime.
Some people say that the interior design of Sound-bar as well as it's "hollywood celebrity" vibe detracts away from the music.
And some people are saying that the EDM scene in Chicago is shrinking and Sound-bar just about never gets filled to capacity.
It doesn't really matter. I liked Sound-bar a great deal, it's been very good to me and I've always had positive experiences with the venue and staff. However, a new chapter is being written and I'm pretty excited to see international DJ's in Spy-bar - I think it's going to be very cool.
If Inphinity wasn't kidding about being their new main room resident - Soundbar is going to go up in a year. |

Pure Saturdays remain @ Vision
Pure Fridays move to Spy-bar
Major events will probably no longer be held at Vision - I fully expect shows like Tiesto/AVB/PVD to be held at Congress from now on. |

i'm sure sound bar will be just fine without pure - look at crobar - it's a cash cow and no good dj's spin there
it appears to me that pure wants to go more underground and throw parties in which there is more of a connection with the dj and the audience - it's being done in nyc (example: cielo - capacity 300, love, etc.) and other cities - trying to take edm back to its roots |
