EXS 24 mkII alternative

Hi,
I'm searching a worthy alternative to replace the superb softsampler exs24 in logic. Anyone has experience with HALion, Kontakt, Gigastudio, ..? |

I know, I love it as much as all the other plugins that come with logic but I'm switching to cubase since I can't afford an imac and I'm getting behind with logic 5.5.
@ Limit, thx for the tip, I've been checking the demo and it's got a great sound. |

i'm still loving logic 5.5 i think it's still one of the best sequencers out there, with great built-in synths and still some great producers using the pc version of it for example sander van doorn, sean tyas, vadim zhukov etc.
its a bit and old stuffs now and has some bugs thats for sure, and no updates for it, but still really good for making music in my opinion, although everyone have different preferences about which is the best sequencer out there... |

| yeah well, it's the future purchase of a virus TI and the way cubase can manage hardware synths now that made the choice. Sure, I'm gonna miss it (a lot) but it's replacable. (still searching for an es2 competitor tho) |

The exs24 also comes as a vst so there is no need to look for another sampler.
I’ve used it in fruity and cubase and it performs just like it does in Logic |

You can't make sampler instruments with that version so it's kinda worthless for my needs. |

| EXS24 for Cubase is teh biggest peice of garbage this planet has ever seen. I'm telling you just go after Kontakt you will never regret it. It is the only sampler you will ever need. |

Okay, think I'm gonna go for it. How is the sound library? It's kinda massive compared to the competitors (but the price is higher too). |

The sound Library is insane....Kontakt may be more expensive but it can do way more than any other sampler out there. If you wanna save some cash why not go for Kontakt V1.5..it might still be around...its on ebay
