i love aria, but in the past few times i've been there, the clientel/vibe have changed drastically. plus tiga was so awesome, it was just a hard time to continue the night soberly. talking about chokers, how come you didn't go to tiga or julius? :p

I had no money for Tiga, and I was supposed to meet my friend before Aria, so couldn't make it to Julius' place.

As eclectic as it was, the night was 100% original, Creator's interpration of dance is like nothing else i've heard before, also learnt a couple of ideas ;)

I also liked how the night was branded, although minimally, there were a group of people who were wearing Rave Montreal T-Shirts, now I got a nice logo in my mind to associate creator's sound too and vice versa. Very smart move that many individuals overlook!

1st time at Aria in maybe 5 months, so it had definitely been a longgg time. I won't go through all the details of HOW I got there, or what STATE I was in getting there :p but all in all a sick night.

Got there with the Tiga crew, who then proceeded to bounce quickly afterwards  . Got in through the extremely sketchy line only to notice the bank machine inside Aria didn't work. So the bouncer let me go out to a bank machine outside. After running around downtown Montreal for 15 mins, I came to the realization that EVERY SINGLE back machine in a 3 block radius around Aria was out of service. Just my luck. Enjoy and Stereohead; you are lifesavers, thanks for spotting my welfare ass with a couple bucks!

The place was packed for a resident night, I couldn't believe it! Not tiestor packed but busy! And it stayed busy until pretty late.

It was great chillin with Azia, Stereohead, Enjoy and MT! Nice meeting you all and keeping me energized. There were some points when my legs were just saying no and my eyes would refuse to stay open, but then Creator would come back with another killer track and get me going again. 'Smack My Bitch Up (Remix)'??? Malade! ;) .

Stayed until the end, which I couldn't believe....but it really caught up to me on the metro when I fell asleep and almost missed my stop :happy2: .

Great night, great tunes, good company! Props Creator

It was such a sick night.

I got there with moevalith around 4:30 and there was a line-up outside which gave me some hope that the night was not going to be empty like some Aria resident nights can be. We walked in around 5:00 and Creator already started his set.

The set was just madness from beginning to end, there's something about Creator's sets that make them his very own and not only does his sounds suit Aria A LOT, but no one can make you feel more like you're in the underground listening to underground music than Creator. At one point I turned to moe and told him what I had realized about his style: he brings it back to the basics.
When I say this I mean he has a simple drum kit and bass line that just makes you want to move and he touches up his sets with certain sounds and beats that re-occur time and time again through-out the 6 hours that set that underground mood.
Also, I can see now that it isn't techno Creator spins like I thought earlier. This set was definately more toward the hard house and electro . One last thing that needs to be mentioned: nobody does dark like Creator . His music is so atmospheric that you can easily get lost in sound: constant wailing over beats, sound of maximized distortion over crispy beats....bliss.

The ratio was very good last night. Glad to see that Creator has quite a few female fans that were screaming on top of their lungs. :p

Martin; you really out-done yourself. Your set was fantastic and I wanna thank u for making me experience it, what happened with the recording? I heard that something ed up in the middle of it. This means we don't have the full recored set?

Thanks to Azia, moevalith and Stereohead for parying it up as always. It was cool to see Enjoy having fun and Bertuzz saying he wanted to hear Discoteka was hilarious. :haha:

Too bad for Tag, Alex, Caela, jester, Sean Walsh, Marcus007 and anyone else who choked this event coz of Tiga or whatever. Tag and Caela especially coz they're out-o-towner's and I didn't get to party with either of them! :whip:

Congratulations on another great set, Martin!
