Hey swamper, long time reader first time poster;)

first of i need to say that you are running a truly awesome site!!

well anyways, im going to Acapulco in exactly 8 days for my spring break. (grand meriges hotel for all of you interested;) ) Can you tell me about your experience? like what are some good clubs / restaurants.. etc.. I heard that Palladium and Disco Beach are 2 solid clubs... also did you go to Enigma?

I would love to hear from someone who has been there recently!... IM even more excited now! since you said that they play loads of trance :)!!!

Thanks,

Luke

I had the best time of my life in Acapulco...

Palladium -- wicked, wicked club... awesome decor, lighting and setup... The music is all trance/techno and the show they put on is unreal... especially when the aztec dude comes out in full gear to D-Devil - "6th Gate".. I must've said "Dance With The Devil" over 500 times since I went nuts to that track over there.. :D

Andromedas -- This club is amazing... the decor inside is like that of a deep sea vessel... on one of the walls is a huge aquarium with topless girls in mermaid outfits.. the music is all trance/techno... 'nuff said

Enigma -- It is a mini-palladium but still with style...

Disco Beach -- The foam party was kind of weak but the music was good... overall not bad..

Places to eat:

Los Tacos is alright and the place just beside Disco Beach (with the stools outside by the sidewalk) is great to have a quesedilla with cheese/red peppers after u come out of the club....mmmmmmmmmmmm

Here's some tips:

1) Don't ever pay more than 15-25 pesos to get from your hotel to a club.. if one cabbie doesn't like ur price ask another, there's millions of em around

2) Be careful of people trying to rip you off, take their price, divide by 2 or more and work from there..

Other than that have a good time.. I know i'll be back next year.
