What would it take to make a high quality Trance prod. out live instruments???????

well em take for example Hybrid, they did their recording in Russia with a huge live symphony.
i dont know any other DJ's/Producers who have to took the time to do that :)

If you use ONLY "acoustic" instrument seems tricky to me (especially the drum part....tho faithless uses some live drums when they gig too)
and bassline also seems hard...bassguitar tho will come far
and a string section for the nice pads
and a clarinet can play a sine-ish lead like in ppk - resurrection hehe
seems like a better solution to me to use partly acoustic partly electronic instruments |

York used guitars linked up to a synthesizer in their earlier works.
When Tiesto said stuff about a "DJ Band" (?) not (sure what this is about) he may have meant some DJ's who could play instruments, and make some tunes, as opposed to playing existing electronic stuff. |

| there is a local southern california deep house band.. i forgot their name but they play live w/ an actual drum kit and horns and guitars and what not.. trance would probably harder to emulate the synths |
