Anyone going to check her out at Stubb's? I am making the drive from San Antonio...I think it's around 15 to see her. Should be a good concert. I think it's going to be inside also...so even more intimate.
*it was moved to outside* |

Great show.
Wow, am I eloquent?
Lots of hair, big voice, strong english accent, cello accompanist in some songs, just Imogen the rest of the set. |

Well the show was amazing.
The night had perfect weather...nice cool breeze...not too many signs of humidity.
First up was Zoe Keating...that woman made me have a new respect for the Cello. She is like a James Zabiela of cello players. The way she would sample herself...loop it...distort it....rather amazing.
Imogen was better than I thought. It's not too often when the singer sounds so much better live than on her CD's. She seemed to really enjoy the crowd and felt comfortable up on stage. When she sang Hide and Seek....just kinda hit me in the gut and filled me with all different types of emotions.
Finally the crowd was a mix of young OC fans...and the other half made it seem like we were at Lillith Fair:crazy:
All in all..it was a good night....you should check her out if you get a chance...you will be impressed. |
