Rick Jeanneret will always be God.
I never thought Gary Thorne was that great until ESPN stopped carrying the games. I'm DEFFO missing hearing him yell out a goal scored like an old man screaming at a group of kids to get off his lawn.
The NBC broadcasters are ABSOLUTE ING . Worst evarrrrrrr. Cammi Granato is perhaps the worst PR hiring in the history of sports journalism. She has no insight whatsoever towards the game, and takes up 3 mins to try and bumble through just one sentence of commentary.
OLN took a while to get their together, but they now have an exciting broadcasting crew that is on point with the play-by-play. Not to mention that we should tahnk anything holy that they got rid of the scoreboard at the bottom of the screen. That was almost as annoying as Cammi Granato herself.
Jim Hughson is your prototypical generic announcer. I have to deal with his bland output while playing NHL 06 enough already.

Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph are great... they do call all the games, but on the radio. See if we take those two away from radio then we have to replace them too. I don't think Bob and Harry would be a good fit for radio. |
