Just wondering lads,
Now i know it's not the best idea to use the WAV displays to beatmatch when you're mixing but obviously now and again you'll look at what's going on.
sometimes i've been mixing, messing around a bit and in my headphones it sounds like the two beats are matched pretty nicely when i look up i can see that the kicks (red) wav displays are slightly off. Yet when i line them up while it still sounds ok my ears tell me the way i had it was slightly better.
Can you rely on the information being accurate in Serato or is it better to trust your ears? Just curious :)

It's music, and the people listening to your mix won't be seeing the Serato display. So if it sounds perfectly fine, who cares what you're seeing? |

Yup.
Does Serato have a "Master Tempo" feature? |

That'd be disappointing, in my opinion. |

Not yet, but I believe they are working on a pitch n' time plugin that will cost extra money. |

Cheers for the replies lads, when i'm playing my speakers are located a little distance away from me so i wasn't sure if it was just delay that i was getting etc.
I don't have monitors set up right beside my desk you see :)
anyway.. Ears it is.
And i'm just curious, FTW... does it mean For the Win? Always see it but don't know 100% what it means.
