Eddie Halliwell Interview

Eddie, you looking forward to your first Fire It Up party at The Gallery?
I always enjoy playing at The Gallery. It is a great club, with a great sound system, which is important for me. The atmosphere just keeps getting better and better and I am looking forward to the weekend, as I always do when I come to The Gallery!

Tell us the thinking behind the party and also where the name really came from?
‘Fire It Up’ is a saying I always associate with good times or a party. I am known for saying it quite frequently so when deciding a name for my brand, myself and my friends decided it was pretty obvious.

Which DJs and producers are really doing it for at the moment and think are going to be big news in the coming year?
When it comes to new talent always check out the Goodgreef stable.

You’ve been busier than ever this year, what have been some recent highlights and what else you got coming up this year?
I have been doing lots of international gigs this year. A couple of recent events which stand out for me are Summerdayze in Australia, where I played alongside Carl Cox, Ultrafestival at The Miami Winter Music Conference and most recently Zouk in Kualar Lumpar. I am really looking forward to the summer in Ibiza where I will be doing both Cream and Judgement Sundays. I am also looking forward to doing further ‘Fire It Up’ gigs throughout the Uk later this year.

The same night also sees Vaccine take over the T3 room for their monthly dose of new talent with Kyau vs Albert, Jon O Bir and Tyler Leigh, what do you think of new rooms such as these and what they do for the scene?
New nights like Vaccine are great for the scene. It is very important to keep things fresh and the above line up is exactly that. Tylor is making lots of noise at the moment and Jon has a compilation on the way. Brands and DJ’s such as these are our future.
