Wait a few weeks and see if the major TI-Control issues are fixed with the 1.1 patch.

I don't even use the VST part of it and I think it was worth the extra $400 I spent upgrading just for the new HW features alone. The independent effects per part is nice. USB MIDI free'd up another In/Out on my MIDI interface. Alot of other interface and menu changes make it easier to use as well.

But, if you are really set on the VST part of it, I would wait as suggested by Sean Walsh. I had problems with that part when I tried it early on, and haven't really bothered spending time using it. Maybe I will try it again with OS 1.1, but I am so used to using the virus w/o it that I really don't feel the need to use it.

I think the main reason to upgrade would be voice count, 96 (or something similar) voices in the TI, 3x as much as in the Virus C. The VST integration is great and all, but the sheer power of the TI is amazing... but so is the price :p

I'm upgrading mine from a C to a TI. Why?

Main reason is for individual effects on each part, rather then global.

Means I have a lot more flexibility for live gigs.

This was / still is the biggest downside to the Virus for me.
