It's definately interesting commentary with which I agree with at times, and disagree with at others. For instance, I do not think that there are unremixable songs, I believe that certain remixes are simply bad, and that's what I think Sander is referring to when he speaks of the Deep Dish mix of 'Dreams'. I recall a remix of that song on the old 1996 Perfecto Club Compilation that is absolutely fantastic and does not depart from the original mood of the song too much.

But I am in complete agreement with what he had to say about the popularization of music and the eternal question that some of the less interesting, more stuck-up fans of EDM have been trying to answer for years. As Sander put it, "So sometimes I guess you shouldn't criticize those that have commercial success... Sometimes electronica can take itself too seriously."

His insights on William Orbit and Deep Dish remixing Fleetwood Mack are spot on

William Orbit is UNREAL when he works with other artists (Madonna's Ray of light, U2's electrical storm)

Deep Dish's remix of that fleetwood mack tune is awful and it ruins an almost perfectly composed and produced piece of music. Shame on them

Also props to Sander for being so honest and blunt in the interview
