i haven't seenthe movie. but the game was my favorite RPG game of all time [followed by FF3].
i still remember the first time playing it; and when the one girl died [i don't remember names cause i always named them after my friends, and not their original names] i was almost crying because i was so sad, and been enveloped so much in the storyline.
and unlike the PS version, the one on the PC you couldn't revive her. sad days it was.
i think i was also upset because i had built her vitals up sooooo much and then she was gone, leaving my other characters slightly weaker than i wanted.
wow, i'm a nerd. |

A few things:
1) Aeris can not be revived without the use of a cheat device. (She is not meant to be revived - Watch the movie and you'll understand why!)
2) Her final limit break was the . Seriously. Like... I would have kept her in my party always.
3) Yes. You're a nerd. So am I. :gsmile: |

this is true. i've heard that it doesn't really have any adverse effects later on in the game if you revive her and bring her with you. or could you not start the second disc with her? i remember this being a topic of discussion back in the day, but never found out the ramifications of bringing her back from the dead.
ftr, i wish Square had taken their damn time and finished the game properly instead of chopping it up and cutting corners just to make that holiday deadline :( |

| Watched it twice. A bootleg copy in Japanese and then the legit copy in English. Still don't get a damn thing that's going on except that Cloud is super emo for losing Aeris. Yeah I'm sure it would have helped a lot if I had played the game, but I gave it a chance anyway. I can't hate on the graphics and animation. Those were very well done. I just wished they gave a tad bit more meat to Cloud's arms. He looked too much like a girl in the film. |

| The one thing i didn't like was the poorly done subtitles for the japanese audio. it seems like the skipped whole sentences and the grammer seems backwords. it's a good thing the english dub was very good. |

It was actually subbed the way that the director and writers wanted it to be conveyed in English. Of course most lines weren't translated literally... but still, it didn't really ruin the entire experience. |

ABOUT DAMN TIME!
Square Enix currently has the most gorgeous CGI title on the market...
...And you just happened to have watched it. |

| I saw the movie. I loved it for the action sequences. There was no way I was going to be able to follow the story line though. Not 10 years after the game. No way in Hell. Sad that they won't remake the game. |
