I don't know how I'd describe this to you guys - To be honest, it's the product of a week and a half on an immense amount of Vicodin and Herb. I guess I'd place this somewhere between the sounds of Farina's "Mushroom Jazz" and Holden's "Balance 005" with just a touch of uplifting diva house, though I'm not even sure if that's an accurate description.
Just take a listen some time when you need to chill or just want something to relax to at home. This isn't dance floor material, it's material for you to end the day with or to chill your out.
Hope you enjoi. Cheers. |

PS: As a personal note, this is something different for me that seriously helped reinvigorate me with regards to playing again.
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, I hope you all are too. |

this is a gorgeous set. i'm on my 2nd listen today.
i love that this set is full of tunes i've never heard before, and it's a big change from what i usually listen to, but it's not so different to the point of being too weird or unaccessible. most deep house sets i've listened to just bored me to death, but this one stays interesting all the way through. it's chill without being too chill, deep without being too deep, and just melodic and funky enough to keep me groovin' to it. i know you say this isn't "dance floor" material, but i could see myself with a cool drink in my hand and moving languidly and sexily to it on a dimly-lit patio looking out over a beach on a hot summer night.
my initial comparison on first listen was that i thought it sounded a lot like the Zabiela & Fanciulli WMC Promo... it's just got a similar vibe, but the style and track selection make it different enough to be very original sounding.
the mixing is great, track selection is outstanding, and the programming seriously blows me away... everything seems to flow so well together, and it seems like all the tracks were played at just the right moment... especially Fresh 27 - Point of View (Original Mix JS Edit). i think the vocals really stand out and work quite well at that point of the set. you also did a great job with selecting the perfect tracks to begin and end the set with, and you know i'm totally picky about stuff like that. for someone who has never put together a set like this, i think you did an outstanding job.
in fact, this is probably my favorite set of yours since Clarity Through The Fog. it just sounds more personal than anything you've put together since then... not to imply that your other sets were bad or impersonal, it just feels like you put more of yourself into this one... and i absolutely LOVE that feeling.
your talents continue to amaze me, sweetheart. i am very proud (and jealous!) of you.
move your body next to mine... move your body next to mine... |

| I liked it. It was a set that didn't steal my attention, so it was pretty good to work to today. Sets that are deeper and less banging are a lot better if you have other stuff to do concurrently, I think. Thanks dude. |
