[Trance] Santeria - majutsu

Majutsu
Here's the tale. Some time ago I was in Brazil. I was staying with a friend who convinced me to go to a santeria ritual in Rio. When there, a lady came out to the trancy beat of homemade drums and metal pots. She sacrificed a chicken and covered herself with the blood. Then the writhed on the floor proceeding to summon the desired spirit. On the wall were saints, a mixture of Catholic saints and African gods and great people passed. What stuck out was that, according to translation, Einstein, whose portrait was on the wall, had supplanted the African god of wisdom previously there. I thought this was very cool.

Hence the tune, Santeria

Ah, yeah the drums are perfect for the mood, they really feel like before a ritual or sort of,I am listening with my PC speakers so I will avoid any mixdown comment, I am not a big fan of the bass and that kinda ts 404 sound, is kinda cheap though, so predictible, I would began with a pad and some more drums and fx intro to get into that ritual trance thing.
The synths lines does not do the job for me, above all the main that appers around 1:55, sounds only like a filler synth.
In overall, you have cool ideas with the drums, the rest dont liked me, I would focus to work more on the drums because they were really cool, I would use more fx and an extended intro only messing with the drums and beats, and then begin to introduce some pads and athmospherics sounds, but that's just me, keep it up ;).
Kopi =O.
