Hey mate,
pretty experimental track you got here man, it seems you are the master of making experimental tracks, really cool ideas you have in the tune and i like the structure also. The bassline is nice, maybe it could be a bit more groovy but sounds good to me, the lead synth sequence and synth sounds pretty much experimental to me, reminds me a bit of your older track called Foot Club:) using the saxophone in this track is quite a daring and innovative idea, nice work mate!:)
anyway, i like the percussion, good job with it, and cool breaks in the middle of the track. I wouldnt dare to sort this track to trance or anything, it sounds rather experimental to me!
Great track.:)
keep it up,
cheers,

lo dude,
Experimental is definitely the right word. And brave as well :). Personally I really like the use of the Sax as a sort of bridging sound. I also like the detuned synth part which peaks about half way through. The mixing is great so far. Good clarity and everything sits nicely. I think i'd like a bit more depth to some of it, perhaps with a bit more subtle reverb on some of the synth parts. I also wasn't so keen on the breakbeat section with the ride cymbals and snappy drums although the pads used there were awesome :).
Hope my comments are helpful. Quality, original stuff in general mate! |

| i like the electro arp in the front. the bass is a little muffled and could be snappier for the rhythm and melody it poses. i really like the composition style, reminds me of miles davis, like you think modally or something. the rhythm is weak and convention, and i would like to see you to experiment with rhythm more if you are going to go this far out on a limb. nice mixing, good balance. very nice shift at about 3:00. nice drum too there. that's very well done. very interesting and worthy of a listen. i almost passed it up because the other posters in thread are not noted for wildly experimental tastes to me, but this really is worthy of a listen to the experimentally minded. it's like a wild dude is trying to get out trance prison. it's funny cause i unsuccessfully am trying to break in to trance prison. :stongue: |

Hehehe, yeah experimental all the way, the sax is a nice addition, when the pads come in all sounds pretty nice, the snare it has too much in the 3000 Khertz area imo, only the first one,I would put it down only a bit, the second one sounds fine though.
In overal, is something interesting to listen to and funny, but I would not listen to this more than one time, I find it perfectly for a flash animation, or for a crazy videogame.
Keep it up.

hey man, im love'n that little riff u got go'n on the 8th beat.
think mix could be a little brighter....ahh, gett'n brighter, nevermind :)
sax sounding synth is wicked.
lacks a little punch, seems like ur losing some of ur kick behind some things.....
love'n the old school buildup picotto style..communication.
very unique style u got going on here...
think that bassline is little hollow/muddy...besides that kick ass track man..
keep it up! |
