Gerrard is a legend.
He should be england captain no doubt about it. People talk about rooney..and how great he is. They have no idea how absolutely massive gerrard is as a player.
Hes 2nd goal was easily the best goal in the history of the fa cup final. To do it in extra time when liverpool were dead and buried. I was almost to tears. Istanbul 2. Kinda drunk..but me mates drank most of the JD and hes actually dancing with nothing but a liverpool shirt on his kitchen table right now!!!!!
Best FA CUP final i've witnessed.Not the best liverpool game..but this match had everything. |

Seriously, very entertaining match, altho the extra-time was kinda pointless (except for that brilliant Reina save and West Ham miss), players were nearly dead already. Major respect for Gerrard, scoring such a great long shot 2 minutes after having the cramps was definitely something.
West Ham's approach to the start of the game was great too, they could be the underdogs but didn't give a about it and had all the ball up to their second goal. Very good game by Benayoun too. |
