1.
To properly sync your midi device make sure your sequencer has "send midi timing" set to "on". Also make sure your JP is set to midi clock, not internal clock.
2.
To set the filter freq or any other CC (Midi Continous controller) in Cubase you first need to figure out what CC id the controller is using on the JP. You can do this in two ways: 1. Look it up in your manual OR 2. Record a midi track in Cubase and twist those knobs then look at the events to see which midi CC event it is tied to and use that in the controller window to draw in your events.
3. If you recorded it in as midi (not audio) you can change the patch, settings, or any other midi data as you wish. You also should make sure that your sequencer isn't set to a specific patch for your JP otherwise it will just keep resetting it every time you play it. The key here is to get everything perfect in midi first, then record it in as audio (by soloing your midi track and recording to an audio track on your soundcard line in at the highest possible level without going over -0-). After recording it in you can add effects or do other audio stuff (pan, volume, fades, filters, chop, blend, ect...)
There, now go play with that for a few hours and you will be the master. |
