WOW what a night! a packed house and insane visuals
This was the best set I have heard Tiesto play in years. Oh and lets not forget another solid opening performance by Boris MD. Truely a magical night of music.
Zubin of Departure singing without you near was just a bonus.
Track list too many tunes to name that were insane |

I will say he played with more of a purpose than I have seen him the last couple of times.
That said although it had its moments playing cheesy tracks with a purpose still leaves you with cheesy tracks.
The crowd ate it up thought. And that was a lot of fun.
Bring on PVD tonight! |

| I had a blast closing the night out. I haven't been able to pump out a trance set in a long time. That was definitely teh show of a lifetime! |

Where do I start my Review.
I get to SD a little after 9. But get to the club a little after 10. I had no issues getting in since I had a hard ticket in hand.
Once there is a good amount of people and Boris was Tearing it up. Everytime I see him he gets better and better. Imo.
Zubin of Departure gets up and sings with out you near:nervous: It sounded to good to and to close to the orginal Track to be "live"...:nervous:
Buy this time the dance floor gets Crazy packed. And Tiesto gets on and the true madness starts.
The dance floor is now uber packed and packed with rude pushy people. I got kicked, steped on, pushed, drinks spilt on me, socked in the ribs and face a bunch of times. Not fun. Then I had these Crazy Crackheads right by me doing a cheer all night long:whip: So annoying.
Tiesto starts out his set with a progrssive Trance feel to it and builds it up to the "old Tiesto" Style. But he had no flow at all imo. He was all over the palce with his Mixing and Where he placed the Tracks. Then he also disapeared a lot. He would go behind the decks for some time and and or talk to some dude or talk to the "groupies" to the side. I do not think he was feeling the crowd that much.
Tiesto did play some Great Tracks I will give him that. When he droped leathel industry the place went off! OMG! Everyone was jumping up and down it was NUTZO! But 5 minutes after the track was done the CrazyCrackheads still had to sing it. :whip:
Non the less I still had a Great time!! :D :D I danced my ass off and had a good time with my friends that where there.
Scott, I am sorry I bailed early for your Trance set. I hope you understand. I have a great feeling that you tore the place up! WOOT WOOT!!
CND- I can not belive I did not see you the whole night :(
Picts to come soon! :D |

I don't fit the typical demographic so much (early 30s, father of 3), just for some background. But have been enjoying the music for years. This was the 3rd time my friend and I have gone out to see a DJ live. 1st was Blank and Jones at the Heaven 1 year anniversary, 2nd was AvB at On Broadway, and now Tiesto at 4th and B. I would rank the 3 in that order from best to worst, as well.
I thought the crowd at Tiesto was pretty good. The amount of "beautiful people" up in the VIP area was jaw-dropping(from what I saw before we got kicked out of VIP!), and the people on the dance floor seemed to really know the music. We found Tiesto kind of disappointing overall, though. Transitions between songs were pretty bad at times, with the beat being off between one song and the next, and sometimes the song choices really were disruptive. At times there was good energy buildup, but my friend, who's the uber Tiesto fan, came away kind of bummed out. I even caught him checking his watch and yawning (OMG!). Next time 4strings or PvD is around we'll try them, and if Blank and Jones hits San Diego we'll go to that because we had a kickass time at that one, but I think once will be enough with Tiesto..
BTW - is it normal for 4th and B to not have any lasers and no go-go dancers? I thought that was practically a requirement for a trance set! |

thaaaank you!!...this is EXACTLY what i experienced the first time i saw him about 2 years ago and then again a year ago. i went the first time to see him very excited but he ended up totally killing it for me. the beats were right on, but the points when he would bring in the next track was awful!! never again will i see him spin. bro you should've went the next night to PVD, now that was a kick ass night!!!!

Hmmm, so this was my first time seeing Tiesto.
I have to say I didn't think he was all that bad. I thought he had a good set, but it wasn't phenominal. On the other hand, Mr. austinscott came on afterwards and totally rocked my world. GJ man :toothless
BTW, anyone have any pics up? |
