External Hard Drives

| Hey Guys...I have alot of music and i like to keep it organized and i travel with it alot also. I was wondering if anyone knows a really good external harddrive that is small, is powered by usb and is durable. It also has to have lots of hard drive space. If anyone knows could they please post it. Thanks |

How much are we talking? a few tens of GB or in the hundreds of GB to a few TB range? If it's under 80 GB, you could get a digital audio player that holds 80 GB and put all of it on there. Hopefully, you'll choose something like an iAudio X5 60 GB, which has USB Mass Storage. I'm going to upgrade my iRiver H140's (Rockboxed) HDD to 80 GB when the new drives come out (stupid Apple's probably hogging all them Toshiba 80-GB drives!). |

my dad has one from "creative" its a 40gb drive in a leather protection. its the size of a mini ipod but a bit thinner. |

| im talking external harddrives not ipods and i rivers and like that....im looking for a harddrives 80 gigs +.....whats TB?....and i want it to be powered by USB |

the harddrive im talking about is not a mp3 player. its just a hardrive. my dad has one from 40gb i dont know if creatve has any bigger. TB = Terra Byte its 1.000.000Gb maybe something to look forward to in the future. |

just buy a laptop drive, a case, and make one yourself.
One of my friends made a 30 gig storage drive for 40 bucks. Spend a little more for a bigger drive, and youll be set. Its cheap and quick. |

I love this enclousre. I bought it because I have a laptop and needed to access my old Desktop HD's files quickly after I moved, and it became a great external storage solution, plus PATA drives are getting so inexpensive. And it's fackin fast! |
