Hi,
As for the exs24, I'll need another compressor to work with. I'm looking for something that has about the same possibilities as the native logic compressor, this is hard/softknee, autorelease, rms/peak switch and sidechaining and good resource usage. Free or commercial but not ridiculous high priced like that waves c1.

Thanks on advance

You might like the ChunkWare Vanilla compressor.

its a free VST compressor and pretty much has everything you mentioned

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1442.html

it doesnt have a visual interface so, it should be pretty sparing on your CPU usage.

quote:
Features:

* Threshold: -40dB to 0dB in 0.1dB increments.
* Ratio: 1:1 (no compression) to 20:1 (limiting).
* Soft-knee: 0dB (linear/"hard knee") to 12dB (nonlinear/"soft knee") in 0.5dB steps.
* Max Make-up: Maximizes the output gain to 0dB, such that it is proportional to the threshold and ratio parameters.
* Compressor Output: -40dB to +40dB in 0.1dB increments.
* Attack.
* Release.
* Release Shape: Smooth, Pump, ARC-1 & ARC-2 (Auto Release Control).
* Key Input (for sidechain).
* Detection: Peak and RMS.
* SideChain Filter: Let the compressor react to certain frequencies, while ignoring others. Off, Low, High and Band settings.
* Frequency: Cutoff frequency for the sidechain filter (60Hz to 6kHz).
* Listen: Listen to the sidechain (control) signal at the output of the filter, before it is rectified/averaged.
* Mix: Wet/Dry mix.
* Output: -40dB to +40dB in 0.1dB increments.
* Limiter.

The Vanilla Compressor uses RMS power summing for stereo linking, to maintain an accurate image of stereo signals

yea, I found that one, but I like to see the gain reduction. I know there's no substitute for your ears but it can be useful sometimes.

Hey Dezma,

if you're not all TOO demanding on your compressor setup and GUI, you could try out the 'Classic Compressor' at:

http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php

Here's also the DD link:

All the vst effect plugins from the 'Classic Series' are free, easy-to-use and CPU efficient.

Do take note they're Windows only though!

Go PSP. Their compressors are ridiculously good.
