Thats all I can say right now!!! Sorry you guys, but I have a math final in a couple of hours :whip:
PS: Many thanks to kanami16 :D :D :D
Update:
Wow, probably one the hardest finals I have ever taken, but nothing like some good avalon sound system to get pumped up for it :D Anyways, time for the review! First off, again many thanks to Kanami16 for the carpool and the awesome night! This was the second time I have been to avalon. As we got to the front door, there was a line but much smaller than it was was two years ago on 6/6/04, but I was expecting to go and wait in line. So we ask a bouncer which line is for tickets/willcall, she says give me you ccard for willcall, and bam! I get my ticket (this is me = ) Then she says go right in! WOW clocked in at less than a minute, I was inside avalon...heading straight for the bathroom. As I head toward the dancefloor, I hear crisp clean sound, even better than I remember it! With some driving basslines and chunky kicks, its non-other than Victor Dinaire at the decks! Those 1st tracks were insane!!! Then out of no where my butt gets kicked (Literally) and AHHHH!!! Its michelle!! Really glad to see you, I swear I havent seen you in AGES!! And right behind her is Kris! I think I havent seen you in even LONGER!!!! Great seeing you guys, always brings one of the largest smiles to me face :)! Victor started to tear it up, seriouslly this man is a master at mixing and track selection. As I recall throughout his set, he jumped from a minimal sound, then a progressive sound, even busts in a driving techno and sprinkles the BEST andy moor tracks all over the place! All with flawless mixing too!! I've seen victor spin live 3 times, and each time he gets exponentially better! It's great to know amazing talent is on our boards and better yet when they are really nice people! Victor if you are reading this...you ROCK! Couple tracks I remember, Luminary - Wasting (Andy Moor Remix), Hidden Logic presents Luminary - Wasting (Andy Moor remix),Jose Zamora and Damian ft Paleday - Transatlantic (Andy Moor remix) everything else was even better, after Victor was done, I was already getting tired from all the dancing! Then the infamous curtains come down and there we stare at a ISOS5 cover for a good half hour....:wtf: . Then Tiesto with that trademark smile comes out!! Theres something about it that makes you feel good, it has the widest diameter out of any human grin! Starts off pretty good, 1st mix flawless, impressive but after that I started to feel sleepy, exactly how I felt with most of ISOS5. Couple tracks that really got me moving were: Fonzarelli - Moonlight Party (Matthew Dekay Remix), Leama & Moor - Everything Matters (Matthew Dekay Remix), Super8 vs DJTAB - Helsinki Scorchin, Flight 643 (WOW), he didnt play Empty Streets, kinda bummed about that, but couple of other good ones. Then it started getting a bit dull, he did manage to get be on the floor with a trump card: Conjure one - Tears from the moon (Tiesto Remix), WOW!!! One of my favorite songs, never heard it in a club...couldn't have sounded better with the Avalon system! By this time though, his mixing was getting worse, I caught 3 double-bass mixes and 1 trainwreck, especially when he dropped Delerium - Silence (Tiesto Remix), I've heard that track way too many times by many other djs, which I would say killed it for me. just when I thought it was over, my god probably the best track of night was droped.... YAHEL - VOYAGE (Original Remix)!!!! #$^$%&^I%UJ&^J&^JTYJ%TJ%&*%#@%RFSDGDFHB.....WOW THE LEGENDARY TRACK on AVALON SYSTEM....ORGASMIC!!! With the little energy that I had left, I tried to dance but my legs would not respond, but that track is pure bliss! It was already 5:15, Tiesto - Traffic (Original *yuck*) just finished and the crowd couldn't make up their mind if they wanted one more or not...blegh we left!
Avalon was better than I remember it, I hope to go back to it soon!! It was great seeing Curly too! Damn man, how long has it been? I saw some washing machines, but they had no room to do their thing so they were "washing" by the rails, the scary thing it was an old white guy with a middle aged asian woman. I saw too many people from my high school and middle school, made me remember the horrors of the glendale school system :nervous: ! But all in all it was a really good party, worth the money? You bet! Couple things that annoyed me were people cheering tiesto when victor was tearing the dancefloor up :whip: , next were all those little marquees in the projections like the one that said "Piss off victor...tiesto" ....ummm wtf? Oh well, I was hoping to see more TA's but hey it was a sardine can in there, next time then! :D
Seen Tiesto 3 times, 6/6/04 by far best set EVER |

This was a great show.. Not like 4th & b or Maya.. After about an hour and 15 minutes of progressive, Tiesto changed gears and played some great tunes. Alot more of the epic stuff, I had a great time and wouldn't of missed it.
With the younger crowd at Avalon, it was way better than normal. |

| awesome party. victor dinaire tore it up. he is quickly becoming one of my favorite dj's. tiesto pulled me back in just as i was beginning to doubt him. i heard most of the songs i wanna hear. he made us all wait for that ponzerelli track. it destroyed the dance floor. delerium silence was one of the highlights of the night. i just got home a few minutes ago. time for me to crash out. peace. |

seemed to me to be some kind of inside joke. i didnt think it meant anything serious towards victor. i must admit tho...song selection-wise, victor is way better than tiesto. |

Inside joke or not, its not something to broadcast on screens over the whole club...really disrespectful...especially for someone like Victor who is actually better than Tiesto... |
