What does he usually play live? Is it tech-trance type stuff similar to his own productions?

you gotts like adrenaline and eden! They both havereally really good mysterious sounds and the synths in eden are unbelievable. Also the build up of percussion in adrenaline is just the best around at the min!

Seen him once, it was a mix of the tech trancy stuff you'd expect and the odd handful of techno and house hits du jour (Pryda - Aftermath, Hertz - Recreate, Cirez D - Control Freak etc.)

Nothing that really stands out, but it was fun nonetheless.

IŽll see him at Eden in September - looking forward to that!

Going to see him at Coloursfest Glasgow, then maybe at Eden Ibiza.. if i decide that i can stomach the likes of Judge Jules and the Trophy Twins etc.

No doubt he will only be on for half an hour at Eden, so all the retarded c*nt heads can get to listen to 'The Judge' all night.

Anyway, his mixes have really impressed me, seems like he has scucesfully created an intresting, varied style, to the extent that he isnt continually playing boring floaty trance tracks.

Wouldn't mind if anyone could suggest artists who are similar to him, would i be right in saying Marco V is quite similar ?

he spins everything he can blend well with trance including tribal, house, breaks, prog and techno. it's really a mixed bag and the programming and mixing are superb. the energy just builds and builds.... you can argue his productions all day, i happen to like most of them, but even if you don't you should still be able to have a killer time with svd at the club.

Definitely one of my favourite producers.

When an SvD track is thrown into an otherwise standard trance set, it really turns the heat up.

i love most stuff hes done. but i wish he would produce more under sam sharp. all the stuff he made under that name owns.
