need hardware & software suggestion for new network

i've been set this problem in my class and could do with a few suggestions as ive hit a brick wall so to speak.
here is the scenario and questions i am dealing with...
so far for question 1 i have jotted these down loosely...
new workstations
network adapters
hub's / routers
network cable
OS
Printers
Database sw
Word processorer sw
Spread sheet sw
and question 2 im stuck at the moment with
Training
Transfer of existing records & data
can anyone help me break them down anymore, broad or specific suggestions welcome! |

With the "home based" comment and just due to the size of the company I'd recon servers are definatly required.
The servers would be used for e.g. Citrix sessions letting you log into your account away from the office.
Allow shared drives so on so forth.
The expanding firm thing is a very clear signal too. Which would suggest to err on the side of buying better/more stuff i.e. bigger servers.
EDIT:
Also interweb need that, what type of connection? And the interfac at what point do you need sub-net masks and all that (actaully unlikely her)? But defo need bridges and so on.
I'm not 100% IT guy but omeone on here will be. Plus I'm gonna sleep. :D |

yeah i agree with you on the server front.
just been thinking and i suppose ill be needing virus protection, firewalls, hardware software etc. |

can anyone suggest what i might need in the way of hubs/routers? what wifi equipment could i use?
