Anybody still have the original? Had mine on an Amiga 500. Those were the days!! Remember hitting my little preteen head in the wall for like two years before i got through, but that's just sad..:D

The second one was the best in the series, ive played trough that one more times than all the others combined :D The only thing about the 2nd one was the ending, i was like :wtf: the first time i saw it.

Haha, big fan of the series. The humour is brilliant! Played them all but Part 1 and 2 the most.

Part 3 is also hilarious when he is walking in his own themepark. Haha

True. Absolutely brilliant humour!! The only one to even come close in my book has to be Sam & Max hit ze road.

If you don't love Monkey Island, then obviously you have no brains. I think it was the first adventure game I really enjoyed. The graphics, the music, the atmosphere... Actually, I liked every Lucasarts adventure game back then. I recently discovered a site where you could download all of these classic adventure games, but it's off now. But I can play Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max etc. etc. again now.

Ah those were the days... Such adventure games will never come back. Well, I've got me an original 'Runaway: the road adventure' lying around here, but I ain't gonna touch it until my mid terms are over. This is maybe the last true cool adventure game. Look at the pics here! -->

Love the Monkey Island series but the first one i played was "escape from Monkey Island" so i had to go and play the previous in the series at later time.

Brilliant humour indeed.

I really enjoyed the Broken Sword series aswell which i thought it was on par with Monkey Island, it was one of my all time favorite series but i didn't really enjoy the new version, i thought the 3D didn't do it any good, made it worse actually . If the game is going to be in 3D, at least make the graphics good.

I've played one MI, but I got stuck at the very first scene. I think it was in a hut on a ship. The guy responded to every action I wanted him to do with: "I'd rather not". At that time I didn't even know what rather meant (that's a whole lot of years ago, my English wasn't very good at that time) so I never played MI more than 20 minutes :)

Grim Fandango though... :eyespop: :eyespop:
I still listen to the music from GF once in a while. I just keep getting that special feeling I had when playing the game. It's my favorite game EVER!

Played DotT too, but didn't finish it. Same problem as with MI: my crappy English at that time.

Are MI and/or DotT abandonware yet? Or are they available for purchase somewere (for < €5?).

i used to love all those games! except i would always get stuck and cheated with the walkthrough... :( full throttle was my favourite :D

"you know what would look good on your nose?"
"what??"
"the bar!" *smack* :D

It was pretty easy to get out of that hut/cabin you know. Haha, after some steps you could have an brilliant converstation to an talking skill which is sooooo damn funny.

Which MI was that? Maybe I should give it another try :)
