hi guys.

i usually reside within the depths of the producers promotion forum but have decided to come to you guys for a bit of help.

the only trance club for miles has been closed down due to drug dealers being found in a raid.

the 'dance academy, plymouth' is the most awsome club, all big djs have played there. but the council are trying to get hold of the building( a beautiful victorian theatre) and turn it back into a theatre:(

this is one of the only large scale 'trance only' superclubs in the uk now..

check it outHERE!

please could you sign the online petition(click HERE!!!! ) to show your support for the club being re opened. it takes literally 1 minute and you can be anonymous.

the police are really cracking down on more underground clubs and one day it may be even rairer to go on a night of trance...

thanks in advance

Petition link is down fella.

Looks like a decent venue, the layout reminds me of what used to be Creation in Bristol.

I heard about this, got me kinda concerned about clubbing these days. I couldnt imagine 150 armed police storming a nightclub. First the Fridge, now the dance academy, it totally sucks. You have my support. It looks like there are some other people willing to get off their ass to :)

already signed it, hardly call DA an underground club tho.

Really hope the Opera House doesnt get targetted :(

Signed the petition :)

So the local council really wants this building for a theatre and it just so happens that it then get's busted for drugs ...hmm

I've said it before and I'll damn well say it again. Alcohol kills far more people and destroys far more lives than Ecstacy and other club drugs. There is no reason why with reasoned responsible use music and drugs can't live in harmony.

All good things in moderation :)

Never been but know a few people who have and all say that the club is wicked.
Hopefully it won't close down but a few years ago in Cardiff 2 of our biggest clubs were closed due to 'council interventions' which sucks balls really.

thanks guys:0)

i wish id been to creation in bristol before it was shut - now to be turned into a 'sports cafe'....:( i cant think of anything worse.

this is a big issue that needs to be addressed.. the closiure of top clubs like this really poses a threat to dance culture in the uk....

cheers again guys:0)
