i lost my job 2 weeks ago, so to economise i thought i'd buy from sainsburys basic range (all other supermarkets are miles away)

i bought a 30p cheese & tomato pizza, and a 50p beef curry with rice.

1. they were completely tasteless (don't know what i expected really)

2. ive been on the ter since sunday night and they're the only things ive consumed.

conclusion = dont buy sainsburys 'basic' range food.

I buy sainsburys basic eggs and have yet to acquire Salmonella.

Care to share any stories? Or would we rather not know?

not surprising really, i'm shockewd that they dont have a disclaimer on them saying that they accept no responsibility for any subsequent deaths resulting from consumption of their basic range

one example... lack of hygene when spitting the spit roast chickens, ones that were out of date or had been on the floor didnt matter. cleaning the work surface seemed optional. i would never do it as i thought i would end up with some kind of salmonella
