about an hour and a half ago as i was pulling up and parking my car near my apartment building i got a phone call from a guy who checked out my resume on monster.com and i guess liked what he saw. he works for an insurance and investing firm and wants to meet and discuss some things his company does and what opportunities i have. i was selected as a candidate to be part of a financial team as an account exec
how the an 18 year old coming out of his first year of college landed that, i dont know but i own my own multimedia business and he liked that i have experience in sales and i guess entreprenuership carries with it a lot of responsiblity familiar to what he's looking for. so yeah.. i might need to consider my major change to economics and business more seriously. :wtf:
i have an meeting/interview on monday. wish me luck |

lol if the meeting takes places in a restaurant or in a hotel room I smell scam :stongue:
I hope it's a nice office. Get business cards and stuff! Tangible!
This sounds a bit far fetched and too good to be true. |

good luck. Yeah employers love you owning your own business. I own 2 of them and they really like that.
edit: i'd love to see a copy of your resume to see how you put it together as i'm trying to find what works really well. |

thats what my mom says. i'll definitely make sure the meeting is in an office and see if i can get a business card. anything to make it more legit |

and at first i totally misread it as "a year and a half" not an hour and a half. and at first was wondering, "wtf, you just got a call NOW?"
ugh.
either way, best of luck. and that is pretty slick to be that young and get a job of that caliber. |
