| Ygrene, from what I heard about jamaica, there is a tourist area, which is nice, and then the local's area, which is basically a slum. Did you see anything like that? |

The amazing part about it is. if you look at the tree that is slightly to the right.....there was a platform in that tree, up out of the picture. The divers that work there take tips to jump off of that platform - the minimum amount they collect before they jump is $65. I couldn't tell you that heigth of it though. All I know is that the small cliff I jumped off of was enough to give me rush and that was probably 12 - 15 feet. The people you can see over to the left and down are on the cliff that we jumped off of.
And yes, the bar really was that good! I wish we could have stayed longer but, the boat only docked there for about an hour and a half, and I didn't want to drink too much that I wouldn't be able to swim back to the boat! |

It's exactly like that. The resorts are beautiful and well maintained and then you drive 1 mile down the road and it's the total opposite. I'd never seen poverty like that and it kind of shocked me. :( |
