Anyone else here use this program other than me??? If you do, what do you think of it? I think it's great accept it takes a little long to render But that's ok the quality is amazing. For the people who don't know what it is which will probably very little...it's a 3d model program...you make whatever you want with wireframes and eventualy after you're done adding textures and whatever else you get you final render piture....You can combin other programs to create a verity of things for eg..In Poser 4 you can take a model of a woman and import it into Bryce and do the rest there..PhotoShop is another you can use...Anyways post back :)

its actually not hard to use...its just thinking of what you want to make thats the problem
TranceMasterUk
so do you guys actually like draw something on paper, then scan it in, and then render it in bryce??

someone explain to me what they do with it

cause iv some of the stuff made with it, and they look very good

Havent used Bryce 5, only 3 and 4 and they were very good. I didnt even know 5 was out. Anyway it is fairly easy to use, you just need to sit down and play around with it for a while, also reading a book can be very beneficial, it can teach you a lot of the little tricks that are hard to come by on your own. There are also tons of tutorials on the net that I'm sure you could find. My problem was that after a while I just stopped having new ideas for new things so I just stopped. And now I dont have it.

Check my sig...it's done in Bryce5 :)

I love messin' with it...just wish I had a little more powerful comp to use it faster...I hate waiting for it... :(

well, i tried a demo of byrce out, but i wasnt that impresed with it. mainly becuz i didnt know how to use it :D

i've got terragen now, and its quite a good program for doing almost the same thing, with a rather quick rendering time. not to mention its free. so if anybody feels like doing landscape stuff, i would check that out first before you go plunking down 200, or however much that proggie costs. or else just crack it ;)

here's a sample of what i made. edges are a little rough. other than that, good i think :D

Not to diss you or anything but that looks very basic. I'm not familiar with terragen but it would take me like 5 minutes to create something of the sort in bryce. (plus rendering time of course, but that doesnt count). How much time did it take you to do in terragen?

Just curious :p

Ok....I threw together a few Bryce images for yea....personally, I don't think there's any comparision. I've used Terragen; it is pretty cool but certainly don't have all the options Bryce has...
I sort of mimiced your picture for a comparision. :D

firestarter:

1. The resolution is causing the jagged edge between skies and body of water.

2. good enough. you can add some funky spheres..

3. add more smaller red suns or red planets like orbits and make the mountain smaller.
