1. I went out and saw United 93 today at the theateres. Good movie, i really really enjoyed it. The music was fantastic. I thought it would be politically charged, but it just seemed to stand by the "this is what happened" scheme. People were confused and no one was prepared. It didn't seem like there was anyone to blame except people to praise for maintaining their positions. Was it intentional to show that old woman with the sewing needles in the plane?
2. In case anyone didn't really believe 9/11 happened, Oliver Stone is coming out with a movie on the World Trade Center emphasizing that "it really happened." Initial reports say this movie is gay and the complete opposite of United 93.
3. What do you guys think about the people that boycotted Saving Private Ryan because it had no black people in it?
4. The ending of Da Da Vinci Code in Thailand had it's last 10 minutes removed due to "religious issues." Instead, the audience will be left with a disclaimer that the plot is completely fictional and should be treated likewise. |

How was flight 93? Would it be OK to bring someone to see it, who had a relative die in the attacks? |

I'd recommend bringing them. Just realize that they do show the actual attacks taking place. The planes crashing into the WTC and the aftermath of the pentagon. I doubt it will stir any anger, even at how some of the ground crew seemed inept. But then again, it's not like it would've made much of a difference. The scene where the passengers re-take the plane is beautiful and empowering to the whole disaster. |
